The Ecotérmica Box has been certified as a Friend of Nature Product and won a concession to use the Chico Mendes Green Seal!
The Ecotermica Box was approved in the certification process in the Product Friend of Nature category. Norvinco received the concession to use the Chico Mendes Green Seal. Created by the Socioambiental Institute Chico Mendes, a non-governmental organization, founded in 2004 with the objective of promoting sustainable development. The institute through programs, projects and actions contributes to environmental conservation and human development. One of these programs is the Green Seal awarded to public agencies, third sector entities and private initiative that seek sustainability in all their businesses.
In order to obtain the Green Seal, the product underwent a selection process that included self-evaluation through a questionnaire, technical visit and a final opinion. The Certification Program for Commitment to Responsible Socio-Environmental Management (PROCERT) prepared the Technical Opinion of the company, based on criteria that took into consideration the pollution potential and degree of use of natural resources based on Law 10165/2000.
The Chico Mendes Institute published in the report its considerations on Ecothermics that:
"... The product evaluated does not present risks or actual damages to health, public safety and the environment; uses renewable raw material (corrugated paper), comes from sustainable management and uses thermal insulation from recycled material. The product is not toxic. The production process is clean, without generation of waste, without the generation of effluents and without the generation of gases or noises. As a measure to reduce volume and facilitate transportation, the product can be transported folded ... "
